An ancient symbol rich in meaning, the ouroboros, depicting a serpent eating its own tail, is the symbol that has been used for thousands of years to represent the cycle of life, immortality, and infinity.

In the 17^th century, it was first used mathematically to denote the concept of the endless and the unlimited – an infinite line.

The reverse portrays the stunning image of a blue-green and gold-colored snake consuming its tail which is further enhanced with variegated tinting along the snake’s head and body The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mint mark is featured at the bottom center.
