Description
This renowned design pays tribute to the Roman goddess of luck and fortune. Each bar is composed of 1 troy oz of .999 fine silver.
Lady Fortuna is the Roman goddess of luck and fortune. She is often depicted as blindfolded to align with the Latin phrase “La [dea] fortuna è cieca,” which means “luck [goddess] is blind.” She carries a cornucopia with her, which is her horn of plenty, and she offers both wealth and luck to people. She is also a goddess of fate but is often confused with the goddess of justice, Justitia, for her blind nature. Interestingly, Lady Fortuna is actually the first design to ever grace a precious metals bar, hence the series’ international popularity.
The obverse features a stunning Fortuna design along with a depiction of a cornucopia, a horn-shaped vessel symbolizing nourishment and wealth.
The reverse contains the inscriptions “PAMP SUISSE”, “ONE TROY OUNCE”, “FINE SILVER”, “999”, and a unique serial number.
