Description
The Marsupilami sprung from the mind of André Franquin, clearly deducible from the ‘Latin’ species name (Marsupilamus Fantasii or Marsupilami franquini). The Marsupilami, like humans, is a solider, otherwise any resemblance ends. This fictional creature is an egg-laying mammal, is as an adult one metre tall, has a tail about eight metres long and is most common with yellow and black-spotted fur. It uses its agile tail for everything; to grab things, propel itself, swim, eliminate enemies and more. Originally he comes from the fictional South American country of Palombia. It feeds on fruit, nuts, fleas and piranhas. His characteristic call is “Houba Houba!”.
